Just a Gramma who loves to sew

I started out sewing a baby blanket for my first grandson and the rest is history. Read Ben’s “B” story.

Taught to sew by my mom on her Singer Featherweight sewing machine, I’ve enjoyed making dresses for my girls, making quilts with my sister and now making clothes and blankets for my grandchildren.

Recently I expanded my Etsy store to include personalized, machine-embroidered Christmas stockings. I have a few Christmas stockings on this site but you can check on Etsy for more choices.

I can’t help but think that Mom would have loved knowing that her old sewing machine is still working hard to bring happiness in the form of custom handmade, sewn with love special, unique clothes and blankets. She taught us to always take the time to do our best. We fondly remember her saying “when in doubt, rip it out.”
